Affiliate links are a way for us to make money through retailers commission
What are affiliate links?
Affiliate links are a way for websites such as this one to make a small amount of money from retailers through commissions.
How do you make money through affiliate links?
When you purchase a product or service through an affiliate link the retailer gives us a small percentage of the value of the purchase called a commison. Commissions are usually very small such as 2% or lower.
Who pays the commission?
The retailer!
You do NOT pay any more than if you were to go directly to the retailer. For example, if you were to purchase a product on Amazon through one of our affiliate links, the price you pay is identical to if you went directly to Amazon to find the product and then purchase it. The only difference is that Amazon keeps the commission for themselves.
How do affiliate links work?
Each affiliate link URL is unique and only assigned to us. Through the magic of the internet, the retailer knows that you have reached them by clicking on our unique URL, through a process called ‘referral’. At this point, as long as you make the purchase, we get paid a commission.
